Dr Clair Bannerman is a dedicated GP Registrar who is passionate about providing caring, compassionate, and comprehensive healthcare to individuals and families across all stages of life. Having completed her medical degree locally at the Australian National University (ANU), Dr Bannerman is proud to care for her local community while continuing to work part-time in the Emergency Department, where she maintains broad clinical experience in acute care.

Before pursuing medicine, Dr Bannerman enjoyed a successful career in education, public policy, and Defence. This diverse professional background has shaped her holistic, patient-centred approach to general practice and strengthened her ability to understand the unique needs and circumstances of her patients. She values continuity of care and works collaboratively with patients to develop personalised healthcare plans that support their long-term health and wellbeing.

Dr Bannerman enjoys all aspects of general practice, with particular interests in chronic disease management, women’s health, preventative health, and minor procedures. She welcomes patients of all genders, ages, and life stages and is committed to delivering evidence-based, inclusive healthcare in a respectful and supportive environment. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Bannerman is actively involved in local advisory committees, advocating for both patients and the future of general practice.

Outside of work, she enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her family.
